The aim of the group is to accuratly portray a fighting mounted unit of World War Two.

For the purpose of entertainment and education. The group has conducted extensive research and undertaken financial investment to provide authentic articles for demonstration purposes. When the Regiment is on campaign all members are required to live in the field with their horses.

The Don Cossack Cavalry Regiment 5 reenactors and their horses are available for educational talks and event demonstrations. We have fully qualified teaching staff available.

The group is actively seeking new members who feel they are upto this challenge. We welcome both mounted and dismounted members. Skill at arms training will be given to enthusiastic novices.

  Reenactors

The Regiment is based in the Northwest of England.

All members are skilled horsemen dedicated to the accurate portrayal of the Eastern Volunteers, the Don Cossack Cavalry Regiment 5.

All have been trained in the safe use of firearms as used by the 5th Don Cossacks in world war two.

The authenticity of drill is essential. Training has been undertaken under the guidance of fellow WW2 reenactors.
